Short Bio: I am Mexican-American and a first-generation college student. Some of my hobbies are running, hiking, biking, and taking mental breaks away from the world by spending time with myself and with God. I am an introvert, but I really enjoy meeting new people! Once you get to know me I can become very chatty, and I’ve been told that I apparently have a loud voice once I’m out of my comfort zone! I am excited to see how MAPS grows as an organization and to meet new members who will join our family!

Why did you join MAPS?
I wanted to be part of a community in which different individuals came together to discuss their pre-med goals. It can be difficult to manage the prerequisites for medical school, but having a team to support you and encourage you is a reminder of why you’re doing this in the first place. I also wanted to be someone who can encourage others and give them the necessary resources/tools to be a successful applicant for med school.
