Short Bio: My name is Alicia and I am a Nigerian-American born and raised in NJ. When I’m not in class or studying I love playing tennis (if anyone wants to play, definitely hit me up!), watching Netflix, listening to music, and starting random projects that I never end up finishing. I’m looking forward to seeing you all (in person this time) in the fall!
Why did you join MAPS?
I joined MAPS my freshman year because I realized what a great resource it is for those going into careers in medicine. I stayed (and eventually became an e-Board member) because of the wonderful people that I met along the way. As many of you already know, being a pre-med student can be a very daunting and lonely journey. However, having like-minded people around you that will encourage and support you can make it a bit easier and help you to stay on track. By joining the eboard, I hope to be able to do the same thing for others.
